Shri Bageshwar Dham Cancer Hospital and Medical Sciences
The project is under the patronage of Shri Dhirender Krishna Shastri. The foundation stone for the project was laid by the Hon’ble Prime Minsiter of India Shri Narender Modiji on 23rd Februrary 2025.
The project aims at providing affordable cancer treatment for the poor and destute, especially the tribals. These are the people who are otherwise neglected by society or are unable to bear costs associated with treatment of these diseases. The primary focus of the project is to diagnose and treat all forms of cancer while also addressing other medical requirements like Ophthalmology, General healthcare, Orthopaedic, Haematology etc.
The ultimate aim is to develop this into a state of the art research centre addressing various other ailments like Sickle Cell Anamea and to make a medical college.
The foundation has already tied with renowned Apollo Hospitals group to help plan and subsequently operate the hospital.
The foundation has also tied up with Indian conglomerate Essar Group who will oversee the completion of the project.

The entire project will have 2 parts: The Hospital and a Dharamshala.
The Hospital is a 100 bed hospital which covers Cancer treatment, Eye Speciality centre, Emergency and OPD.
- Specialty Cancer Hospital with 50 beds dedicated for Cancer and 50 beds for General Medicine
- Facilities: OT, Radiation, Chemotherapy, Pharmacy, General Medical facilities, Private Rooms as well as shared rooms
- Area: Built up area of approx. 250,000 sq ft
- Dedicated eye care centre
- Area: Built up area of 55,000 sq ft
- Rooms: 96 bedrooms
- Room Size: Each room is approx. 280 sq ft in size
- Facility: No fringe hotel for family of those admitted in the hospital with a restaurant serving Satvik food
Built over 45,000 sq ft, this Dharamshala will provide extremely affordable lodging options for those who wish to avail it.
Research Centre & Medical College
The final step would be to build a research centre with a dedicated annual budget for finding cures to diseases plaguing the tribals.
A medical college will also be built in the vicinity of the Hospital with appropriate boarding arrangements for the students.
